Who would have thought you could find a little bit of France off of Main Street In Vancouver? Chocolaterie de la Nouvelle France offers a range of artisan chocolates and confections to the Vancouver clientele. This experience made me fall back in with love with my dear companion and sometimes foe … chocolate!
Anne-Geneviève Poitras, the owner of this intimate little chocolaterie, makes you feel at home and brings you one step closer to France with her divine chocolate. You can smell her passion for chocolate as soon as you step foot into this lovely establishment.
According to Poitras, Chocolaterie de la Nouvelle France’s “biggest stimulation is the people’s reactions when they taste fine chocolate; the way their eyes glow and how happy this discovery made them.” So true! Our experience was so delightful I can still remember each bite we shared!
The decor is simplistic and quaint. The exterior is a mural of a building you would expect to see on a small cobble stone road in a French village.
The Art of Chocolate is extremely underestimated in my opinion, and I have a new found appreciation for it. If you are ever on Main Street Vancouver this is a place where you MUST go and taste!
