This blog most differs a little from my other blog posts, however, I just had to share what an amazing and memorable evening I had on the West Coast, in Pemberton B.C.

I recently went to British Columbia for my sister’s best friend’s wedding. On the Friday evening before the wedding ceremony, the groom’s side of the family hosted a meet and greet so the two families could meet and get to know each other! The event was held on the beautiful North Arm Farm which was located up in the mountains, at the foot of the majestic Mount Currie.

Let me tell you, it had an amazing scenic view of the mountains and you could see miles and miles of beautiful green farm land. The scenery was so breath taking and beautiful that it was a perfect back drop for an event of this sort. Yes, I know, I’m rambling!

The decor of the event, was simplistic and straight-to-the point with accents of fresh floral arrangement in the center of the tables. Nothing too over the top, or fussy, which was incredibly refreshing. The rustic features of the barn along with the scenery was enough of a statement that the decor did not need to be over the top. The overall vibe of the evening was intimate and down to earth – a great way for family and friends to unite and celebrate a such joyful occasion.

I can’t forget to mention the food which was so delicious! The evening consisted of a barbecue and cocktails. Everything was freshly prepared and made by the North Arm Farm, further adding to the charm of the entire evening. I am still dreaming about the spread of freshly baked pies with home made whipped cream it was mouth watering. I come from a family that has an appreciation for food, so you can imagine how excited my sister and I were at the sight of all of these freshly baked goods, and toppings. Along with the wine which was from a local B.C winery Hester Creek.

It was a memorable evening that will definitely stay in my mind for a very long time. Here are a few pictures for your enjoyment. Also included is the website of the farm & winery!
