Brought to you by Singhnature, Walk-in Closet is a celebration of life through clothing and accessories.
Conceptually, the pop-up shop facilitates a fashion forward individual’s desire to find new homes for their once treasured pieces. Through a carefully curated retail event, Walk-in Closet brings together fashion and environmentally conscious consumers interested in local, thrift, vintage and one-of-a-kind goods.
Based on Singhnature’s philosophy of sustainability and our mantra of: recycle, reuse and reinventing. Walk-in-Closet transforms the wardrobe cleansing process into a memorable personal, unique and conscious shopping experience.
Who is Pamela Wong? She is a high energy, polar bear loving, comic book enthusiast, who loves to shop. Here is what Pam had to share about her story and why she is ready to PURGE!
“I am a doctoral student at the University of Toronto, based out of the Royal Ontario Museum and am finding ways Inuit hunters can help “save” polar bears; this involves integrating Inuit experience with scientific methods. I am also a teaching assistant for graduate courses in ecology and evolutionary biology. I flood the hours in between these activities with endless music-mining, comic books, and movie-watching marathons. Somehow, I find more than enough time to surround myself—stock my closet full with–antiques and clothing pieces that I have collected over the years.
I approached Natasha because I am ready to purge my overflowing closet to make room for items that suit the style I’ve recently taken on. From my early high school days, I’ve tried the goth/punk-rock, through funky/ experimental/ pre-90s, to time-to-be-pretty-and-hit-the-Cinderella-ball looks. Recently I have been told I’ve adopted a sporty-meets-eclectic hybrid; though my style has continued to shift, I have yet to shed my desire to stray from what is “norm” and my style is consistently shaped and/or influenced by my past. Each of my pieces comprises a collection I started almost 10 years ago; it will be tough, yet exciting to let some of them go.” Pam Wong
